While I have always liked trivia, I have never played Pub Trivia. The closest I have come to Pub Trivia is when my kids would like to go to Buffalo Wild Wings and play trivia on their game consoles. I found a restaurant that has pub trivia in my town. For my first foray into pub trivia, I dragged my wife along. Did I mention my wife hates trivia?
We ran into a friend at a pub trivia and were welcomed onto his team. Throughout the night, our team held its own among competitors, and my wife’s insights continued to play a crucial role. Unfortunately, I did not contribute much to the team. Surprisingly, we secured the second position, marking an unexpected triumph for our first trivia outing.
Bolstered by our initial success, we decided to give Pub Trivia another shot. The second time around, we joined up with the same friend, and to our delight, we clinched the first position. I was happy that I contributed a little more this time around.
I find myself eagerly anticipating going back for more Pub Trivia. This can be excellent practice for my ultimate goal—Jeopardy. Unfortunately, the timing of trivia night does not work out well with my schedule.
